Learn new structures or build confidence in old ones, brainstorm ideas, and be stimulated by your fellow classmates. This class is for the novice or experienced artist in a creative, supportive environment ideal for exploring Book Arts. Explore box making, paste paper & drawing and much more.

Cost is $35 per session. Reservations required: sibyl.rubottom@me.com

Additional Workshops:

Block Printing on Fabric: March 3 & 4; 10 am - 4 pm at Athenaeum Art Center
(Bread & Salt building at 1955 Julian Ave., San Diego 92113)

Learn the basics of printing on fabric in this two-day course. We will create our own yardage that you can use to then make bags, clothing, book arts projects and more. Using a few simple tools we will learn how to carve E-Z cut blocks (much easier than linoleum) and use them to print your designs on fabric. You’ll leave this class with your own custom-printed fabric and the skills and tools to make many more such projects on your own. I have over 25 years’ experience in fabric painting and found it was great fun to get back into this wonderful medium and to share what I have learned.

Fee: $120 (members) / $140 (non-members); no materials fee
